Break out the bubbles! We won Gold!

In all honesty, we will travel a long way for a magnificent balloon wall and the folk at Junior Magazine do the best!

So we were delighted to be invited along to their brunch last week, in celebration of this year's Junior Design Awards. The feast they had laid on, sparkling company & Gold Award with Stuffel’s name on it were all a bonus, really. ; )

Junior Magazine pits itself as an online glossy for discerning parents: the editorial covers topics from family-friendly city guides to advice on starting school, with everything from craft ideas to cooking inspo inbetween – and the images are beautiful. Grab a coffee and have a scroll through yourselves: www.juniormagazine.co.uk

They certainly know their stuff about smart parenting, which makes their annual awards THE ones to lust after. This year the judges were celebrated champions from across the parenting market – Steph from ‘Don’t Buy Her Flowers’; hilarious, heart-felt ‘Mother of all Lists’ Clemmie Telford; award-winning photographer Abi Campbell; fashion goddess Gemma from Mutha.Hood, Zoe Hardman and Georgia Dayton AKA @madebymammas – the list goes on and on. They all gathered in west London to put hundreds of brands through their paces with a full day of testing.

So we were as pleased as punch when our beloved Stuffel bags were awarded GOLD for Best Interiors

Accessory. We love Gold! What a huge compliment. A big thank you to the excellent team & suppliers responsible for Stuffel’s high-quality (those sewing superstars up at Gaddum & Gaddum, we salute you!) and to all of our play-loving customers for their continued support.

There was some stiff competition in our category – if you still have some of that coffee left then check out the exquisite quilts at Forivor, the gorgeous baskets at Artisanne and Sleepyhead of Sweden.

Personal highlights for us, in no particular order:

  • Meeting Jo from BowBeaus ... animals in party hats - the world needs more! We implore you to check out this little company for a feast of sheer joy;

  • Meeting Gemma from Mutha.Hood - as sweet in person as she comes across on Insta;

  • Escaping spreadsheets and stocktakes for a morning of glitz & glam in west London;

  • Hearing from Junior's own chieftess Bonita Turner - a rockstar of the parenting market;

  • That balloon wall ... those responsible must have the most magnificent lungs.

Until the next time, love from some glowing Stuffel People.
